Open to the public seven days a week, Mt. Anthony Country Club features an 18-hole regulation length course: 6,364 yards of golf from the blue tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 70.5 and it has a slope rating of 127.A major golf course renovation is under way under the direction of Golf Course Architect, A. John Harvey, of the RBA Group to take full advantage of the spectacular Green Mountain location and challenge players at every level. The restoration process includes reshaping of bunkers and tee complexes. No more than two complexes are being worked on at the same time, so the inconvenience to golfers is minimal. A systematic agronomic program has been initiated in existing grass areas, fairways and greens to improve the overall quality of the turf. You will be able to enjoy the course even as you see the careful renovation process up close.

The Sagamore Golf Course: Splendid mountainside links designed by Donald Ross.Honored by Golf Magazine as one of its Silver Medal Resorts, this beautiful hillside course overlooks Lake George and was designed and built under Donald Ross’s personal supervision in 1928. As part of a $75 million restoration in 1985, the legendary course was fully restored according to Ross’s original blueprints.In classic Ross fashion, The Sagamore’s golf course uses the natural environment to give each hole its challenge and beauty. The holes are routed naturally through an upland meadow and the Adirondack woods, where white birches enliven the evergreen forest. To add an accent to the rolling mountainside terrain, Ross planted heather from his own native Scotland within the meadow. Lush fairways are narrow and lined with hardwoods, while deep bunkers surround undulating greens. The Empire Golf Club is a club associated with both the United States Golf Association and the New York State Golf Association. Empire Golf Club does not have its own course. It may sound strange to some, but remember the royal and ancient golf club of St. Andrews, Scotland? Yes, the famed R&A and one of the ruling bodies of golf is also a club without a golf course. The town of St. Andrews owns all of its local golf courses.

The Empire Golf Club will function much like a private or public golf facility, but without the many obligations associated with the maintenance of such a property.
